🤍 Taiwan Day 1 Diary

On my first day in Taiwan, things didn’t go exactly as planned.

I hadn’t completed the online arrival form or registered for the e-gate in advance, so I ended up spending quite a bit of time at the airport sorting everything out.

I also completely underestimated the weather. I wore a knit sweater and a coat, thinking it might be chilly but it was much warmer than I expected. I was sweating and exhausted before my trip had even properly begun.

The accommodation, just as I had hoped, was absolutely lovely :) It was clean, cozy, and exactly what I had imagined. That part made me feel relieved :) 

But what really stood out to me today was the contrast of the city. During the day, Taiwan felt beautiful, calm, and peaceful. However, at night, the atmosphere changed... it felt darker, louder, and somehow less charming than it had in the sunlight.

It was an interesting first impression, and I’m curious to see how my feelings will change over the next few days.

It was my first time traveling abroad alone
I was excited, nervous,,, But! I was ready for a new adventure!!!

Once I got my EasyCard, I took the purple MRT line directly to downtown Taipei. 

It was an easy and convenient way to get into the city

대만이 맞다! 

After checking into my accommodation, I stepped outside and realized it was already evening. 

I was starving, so I quickly headed to a restaurant that was only open that day during my trip!!!

During my trip, I really felt how popular Korean celebrities are in Taiwan.

완전 추천하는 식당!!! 

"진천미" 두부볶음, 파볶음 유명하고 정말 맛있습니다.

다만, 직원들끼리 서로 엄청 시끄럽게 대화해요. 한적한 느낌 X 시끄럽고 정신 없는 분위기 O 음식은 정말정말정말 맛있음! :) 그리고 손님에게 친절해용 :) 

"용산사" 

1700년대 세워진 불교와 도쿄 신을 모두 모시는 유명 사원이고,

밤의 모습이 멋있는 곳이라고 들었으나? 

음 대만 여행 필수 코스는 결코 아니라고 말하고 싶습니다. 그냥 쓱 보고 빨리 나왔습니다.

바로 근처에 야시장이 있더라고요! 근데 이 야시장 주변에 거지들, 이상한 사람들 너무 많고 

길거리 냄새도 안좋아요! 야시장에도 별 거 없고 사람들도 너무 많아서, 들어갔다가 다시 나옴... 나에게 야시장은 맞지 않는 듯 하다

여기 버블티 직원 정말 친절해요!!

그리고 이쯤되니 길거리에서 누가 대만인, 중국인, 한국인인지 구별하는 능력이 생김

대만 편의점에는 꼭 이 냄새가 아주 쎈 계란을 팔더라고요. 궁금하면 한 번쯤 먹어보면 좋을 것 같아요. 저는 안 먹음.
